MCRG-Membership-Application-2020

1. Monmouth County Referral Group will review and select members in all classifications based on
qualifications without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, marital status, age, handicap
or sexual orientation.

2. Only one person per professional category is permitted to join each group.

3. Monmouth County Referral Group reserves the right to determine professional categories

4. Visitors must attend two meetings before submitting a membership application. During the second
meeting the prospective member will be asked to speak and members are encouraged to ask questions.

5. The applicant understands that acceptance of membership application grants only a
provisional membership until the application is reviewed and references checked.

6. Attendance at 75% of meetings are required to be a member in good standing.

7. An excused absence shall be defined as all but not limited to: Family Death, Work-related absence (i.e.
client emergency, convention, meeting conflicts beyond your control.) All other absences such as
(Vacation, Recruiting at another networking group, Children’s issues regarding school or Illness) will be
reviewed by the Board of Directors and determined whether they are acceptable.

8. Arriving late and leaving early is discouraged.

9. Members must meet minimum networking standards to remain a member in good standing.
Minimum networking standards are: passing 3 or more solid or qualified referrals and bringing 2 or
more guests during a year of membership. Failure to meet minimum networking standards may
result in membership cancellation, forfeiture of fees and opening of category.

10. Granting of memberships is in the sole discretion of Board of Monmouth County Referral Group
after review of application and check of references.

11. Applicant must represent his or her primary occupation in the chapter, be employed full time in that
occupation and be licensed to do so where required by the applicable State.

12. MLM Salespeople may join Monmouth County Referral Group on a case by case basis.

13. Members that attend LeTip & BNI are accepted on a case by case basis.

14. Upon second warning membership may be reviewed and possibly canceled with fees paid forfeited
and category opened. Monmouth County Referral Group is designed to be used by business
professionals to market their services to the other members, and their referral contacts. Complaints
about members by other members will first be directed to the Board of Directors of MCRG.

15. There is no provision for a voluntary withdrawal. If a member withdraws, no membership fees shall
be refunded.

16. Monmouth County Referral Group reserves the right to refuse membership or remove existing
members for any legitimate business reason including but not limited to the following:

a. After investigation it is determined that conflicts exist that may prevent a fair opportunity
for referral exchanges.
b. After investigation it is determined that membership is or would be inconsistent with the
vision and/or mission statement of Monmouth County Referral Group.
c. After investigation it is determined that a question exists regarding the credentials or
experience of a member or potential member.
d. After investigation it is determined that continued membership would cause disruption at
meetings.
e. After investigation it is determined that any issue identified about a member by anyone
including but not limited to a member or founder negatively affects MCRG and has a
reasonable likelihood of being true.
